<p>Hungary’s prime minister made the claim as accusations mount that he is using a dispute with Ukraine for political gain in the run-up to elections next month</p><p>Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán, has accused Ukrainians of plotting to attack his family, as <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/06/hungary-seizes-millions-euros-cash-gold-ukrainian-convoy">an increasingly bitter standoff</a> between Kyiv and Budapest continues.
