<p>Media outlets indicate connection to bankrupt educational technology company that created chatbot for district</p><p>Two days after the FBI <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/25/lausd-superintendent-fbi-raid">searched the headquarters</a> of the <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/los-angeles">Los Angeles</a> unified school district and the home of its superintendent, Alberto Carvalho, questions remain and officials have said little publicly about the nature of the investigation.</p><p>In an emergency meeting on Thursday, the LAUSD board of education met in closed session for several hours to discuss Carvalho’s employment with the nation’s second largest <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/education">school district</a>.
